Protect Your Home and Business With Our Security Systems in Oakville

A1 Security Systems has served Halton Region since 1988, servicing over more than 2,900 homes and businesses from our office on Harvester Road in Burlington. Oakville is part of that coverage area, from the industrial corridor near the Ford of Canada Assembly Complex to the family neighbourhoods around Glen Abbey.

Before we recommend a single sensor, we walk your property and talk through how you actually use the space. That's what shapes your security solutions, not a standard package.

Home Security and Business Security Systems in Oakville

A1 Security Systems has protected homes and businesses across Halton for more than 37 years. We design, install, and monitor security systems for families and companies in Oakville.

Our monitoring partner works around the clock, watching over our clients across the region. When something happens at your home or business, we respond the same way every time: calmly, quickly, and by the plan we built with you.

Oakville holds town status but has grown into a significant-sized community in Ontario, with a population of over 213,000. More homes and more storefronts mean more to protect, and that's what we're built for.

With integrated alarm systems and a dedicated monitoring partner, we keep your people and your property safer, without locking you into a long-term contract to do it.

Oakville Home Security Systems

Your family's safety and your home's security matter to us as much as they matter to you. A monitored Oakville home security system gives you that assurance through the day and the night.

Long known for Glen Abbey Golf Course and the Canadian Open, Oakville is also home to growing family neighbourhoods stretching from the lakefront up through North Oakville. We design residential security systems around your home, whether you're in a bungalow near Kerr Village or a newer build farther north.

Our security professionals provide service 24/7, so you and your family stay protected no matter the hour.

Home Alarm Systems

A home alarm system protects more than your house. It protects the people inside it. A1 Security Systems installs, maintains, and monitors home alarm systems throughout Oakville and the greater Toronto area. Ask about adding a video doorbell to your system, so you can see who's at the door before you answer.

Our monitoring team alerts you the moment your system detects an issue. Beyond intrusion alerts, your system can include water leak sensors, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide alarms.

Home Security Camera Systems

Add video surveillance to your home security plan for around-the-clock protection. Integrate your cameras with smart home features so you can check in from your phone or tablet, wherever you are.

Residential Data Cabling

Custom-built Oakville homes benefit from a structured cabling system that gives you one clean connection point for your devices. Skip the glitches that come from phones, internet, and TV all competing for the same connection, with proper residential data cabling.

Oakville Business Security Systems

Protecting your property from theft and your people from harm is a top priority for any Oakville business owner. Most losses come down to gaps in coverage rather than sophisticated attacks: an unmonitored side entrance, a blind spot in the parking area, a key that was copied years ago. The best business security system is one that's made for your unique security needs.

Oakville's business base ranges from major manufacturing, like the Ford of Canada Assembly Complex, down to the offices and light-industrial units in the Winston Churchill Business Park. An effective security system closes the same coverage gaps regardless of size. A1 Security Systems installs, monitors, and controls access to your commercial security system, whether you're on Lakeshore Road or off Winston Park Drive.

Business Alarm Systems

Alarm monitoring and intrusion detection keep your company protected 24/7. The moment our system detects an incident, we notify you and start the appropriate response, including contacting local police when needed.

Business Security Cameras

Smash-and-grabs and theft cost Canadian businesses millions of dollars every year. Indoor and outdoor security cameras give you a clear record of your property and help cut down on these losses before they start.

Card Access Systems

A card access system gives you control over who enters your building and when. You get a clear record of movement through your facility, which makes it easier to keep your people, your company, and your data safer.

ULC Fire Alarm Monitoring

Office data cabling keeps your phone, security, and data traffic running without slowdowns. Slow connectivity frustrates your team and can reflect poorly on your company's customer service.

Office Data Cabling

With proper office data cabling, you can avoid slow connectivity amongst your equipment, including phone, security, and data traffic. Slow connectivity can cause frustration amongst team members and reflect poorly on your company’s customer service. Effective office data cabling minimizes the potential for any of these network issues.

Professional Monitoring by Our Oakville Team

A system on the wall doesn't protect anyone by itself. Someone has to be watching it, every hour, every day. That's the job our ULC monitoring station partner does for Oakville homes and businesses. The moment a sensor trips, a real person looks at the event and decides what to do next, including reaching out to local emergency services. This is the value of a monitored alarm system.

What Happens When Your Alarm Goes Off in Oakville

Ask most Oakville alarm companies what happens after a false alarm, and they may or may not mention the fee. Halton Regional Police invoice the monitoring company $197.75 for every dispatch that turns out not to be a crime, a policy the HRPS Alarm Program put in place in June 2023 when it stopped offering discounted registration for lower-risk premises.

We'd rather avoid that cost altogether, and so would you. That's why we place sensors based on how your Oakville property is actually used, verify an alert before we dispatch anyone, and build your response plan with you instead of handing you a standard one.

Our office is on Harvester Road in Burlington, a short drive from most Oakville neighbourhoods along the QEW.

Oakville Security Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does a home security system typically cost in Oakville?

Equipment for a typical Burlington home may vary, with alarm monitoring starting from $39.95 per month. Business systems are quoted after a site walkthrough.

  • What should I ask before hiring an Oakville security company?

Ask three questions. Is the monitoring station ULC-listed? Are the company’s technicians employees or subcontractors?  And what is the length of the alarm monitoring contract term? A1 Security does not try to lock you into long-term monitoring agreements.  Those three answers separate most providers faster than a feature comparison.

  • Is my alarm system required to be registered with Halton Regional Police?

As of June 15, 2023, the HRPS Alarm Program no longer registers premises for discounted alarm response. Police respond to all activated alarms and false dispatch fees of $197.75.

  • How does Halton Regional Police define false alarms?

Halton Regional Police define it as any alarm call determined to have been caused by something other than a criminal offence, medical emergency, or fire. Appeals go through the False Alarm Coordinator and your alarm service and monitoring company.

  • What does it mean when a monitoring station is ULC-listed?

It means the station meets Canada's certification standard for staffing, backup systems, and response procedures, set by ULC. Insurers and Ontario's Building and Fire Code often require this listing before they'll sign off on a commercial security setup.
